500 Students; 40 Staff; Nursery to Class IX and shall grow to Class XII

Our own New School; turnkey Consultative Assignment; designed from scratch; guided from selecting the land site, preparing the Detailed Project Report, Basis of Design, Working with Architects, guidance to open the School, Implementation of Policies and establish quality Practices.

We are responsible for any and all aspects of the School for Implementation and Follow-up. The construction is nearing completion; site development and landscaping is underway; furniture and other material has been identified; advertisement for staff released; staff shortlisted invited for a personal interface.
 


Rabindra Vidya Niketan, Keonjhar, Odisha
Opened in April 2011; affiliated to CBSE X and XII; Co-educational; Day & Residential; 11 acres;
650 Students; 55 Staff; Nursery to Class XII

This is truly our First New School; designed from scratch; guided from selecting the land site to opening the School with 104 students in Class III to VII; now under expansion to add Class I and II alongwith enhancement of facilities.

We have been responsible for any and all aspects of the School viz.,
- Feasibility Study in late 2009
- Detailed Project Report in early 2010
- Vision and Mission of the School
- Working with the Architects to enable an Academic design and layout
- Periodic supervision of Construction from mid 2010
- Identify & select Furniture, Text Books, Library Resources, Teaching Aids etc
- Draft Policy and Procedures for Student Admission, Academic transaction, Evaluation, Assessment, Reporting, Remedial, Enrichment etc and Staff Specifications, Shortlisting, Evaluation, Recruitment, Induction, Training, Appraisal, Development etc
- Enrich the School with quality practices for design, conduct, implementation and evaluation of Co-curricular Activities viz., Assembly, Arts, Dance, Music, Sports, Academic Excursions, Project based Teaching-Learning etc

We continue to guide the School as professional Directors on the Board of the School.
 


Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai

Again not a totally New School; this was our First Consultative Assignment; primarily to –
- set up Academic Systems and Administrative Procedures to deliver quality education on a sustained basis from K to 12
- enrich the IB Diploma Program and integrate it with the Indian curricula
- develop a transparent interface between Management-Staff; School-Parents; Teachers-Students to develop bonds of trust and understanding
- establish the School Vision – Mission – Values so that everyone works as One
- design and implement the Faculty Appraisal and Development Program
- design and implement the Decision Making Matrix to facilitate quick and proper decision making and eliminate bureaucracy
 


Chinmaya International Residential School, Coimbatore
2001 to 2009; CBSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma; Co-educational; wholly Residential; 100 acres; 550 Students; 126 Staff – all living on campus

Though not a totally New School when we got involved; this is where we learnt our ropes; as Faculty; as Junior School Co-ordinator ; as Principal and Director

- took over the relatively young – founded in 1996 - School in its formative years with 250 students and set up the operations based on the value system to reinforce the Vision of the Founders, the Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, Mumbai
- leveraged on the knowledge of all aspects of school education, finance and management, having audited, advised, taught at, and now headed, schools during a 20-year career span
- set up systems along educationally progressive lines and adapted modern management techniques to develop an efficient academic and administrative infrastructure
- visualised and enshrined the CIRS Value System ; a set of simple but strict rules that guide the School’s daily functions; where all actions and decisions taken by and on behalf of CIRS need to conform to these core values
- inculcated the CIRS family spirit in every employee, and their families, where each one felt it is `my school’ and contributed to the school without the barriers of hierarchy and bureaucracy in an atmosphere of mutual trust and absolute transparency
- planned and implemented an integrated professional development strategy for the staff, career counselling and enrichment/remedial/special education structures/programmes for the students, a computerised school administration system and a dynamic institutional web site
- led the School expansion Project of about Rs 10 Crores to add an Academic Block, Dormitories, Staff Quarters, Sporting Facilities, Maintenance Facilities
- finally, the School grew and developed into a world class institution with 550 students from 23 states of India and 19 other countries
